15-year-old Coco Gauff went up against one of her idols Venus Williams during Wimbledon 2019 and was victorious. Gauff beat out Williams 6-4,6-4 making her the youngest player in history to advance to Wimbledon's Main Draw thru qualifying. In the mists of her win, Williams congratulated an ecstatic Gauff whom in return told Williams "I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you" a moment Coco states she'd wanted to say to her but never had the guts to do.
The Georgia native is the youngest player to win a singles match since Jennifer Capriati victory in1991.
