A New Nintendo Switch to Hit The Market in 2021

In recent news, Bloomberg reports, Nintendo Co will release an upgraded Nintendo Switch to hit the market in early 2021.

The gaming giant released two new Switch models in 2019, offering a more power-efficient device but kept with the original hardware. This latest overhaul will breathe new life into the popular gaming console as the new upgrade will be a significant performance boost since its 2017 debut. Bloomberg notes Nintendo "Has looked into including more computing power and 4K high-definition graphics."

Bloomberg's information suggests that the redesign will launch alongside a solid new game lineup in hopes of rivaling those of the  Sony Corp PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Corp Xbox Series X this holiday season. Without any major title release announcements made, it leaves us wondering if Nintendo will release the long-awaited The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel over the Holiday Season.

Nintendo has been flourishing in sales, distributing more than 61 million consoles surpassing the original Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System with Animal Crossing: New Horizons influencing the majority of console purchases during the coronavirus pandemic.

Stay tuned as more details come in.
