The Jordan Brand has finally announced the release of the retro Air Jordan 3 'Cool Grey.' It was first rumored to drop sometime in May 2020 but was somehow delayed. The Air Jordan 3 "Cool Grey" originally debuted back in 2007 and is now signaled to be part of the iconic sneaker brand's early 2021 lineup.
The 2021 retro of the sneaker captures the same essence as the original with few upgrades of its own. While the 'Cool Grey' AJ3 model is not one of the most original pieces to come from the brand, it is undoubtedly one of the most beloved. The sneaker comes appropriately dressed in a Silver, Light Graphite, Orange Peel, and Sport Red colorway, fitting considering its name.
This version of the Air Jordan 3 'Cool Grey' has leather construction that seems to replace the suede glow on the shoe's upper part. This reconstruction will allow for much less upkeep of the sneaker. It also features some hits of sport red and orange peel that appear on the tongue, eyelets, Airbag, and heel tab. The sneaker's heel also sports the classic 'AIR' branding that we expect from the Air Jordan label. An elephant printed mudguard by Tinker Hartfield also makes its way onto the shoe's forefoot and heel. Rounding off the design of this rendition of the Air Jordan 3 is a mix of white and dark grey midsole that completes it.
The Air Jordan 3 'Cool Grey' is set to release on February 20 at select retailers and over at Nike.com. The retail price tag for the pair is set at $190.
