The Mega "Everything Store" Amazon has taken a different approach to fashion with the launch of "StyleSnap." "StyleSnap" is an AI-powered tool that assists customers in buying with a snap of a picture. The mobile-based app was unveiled in Las Vegas during MARS conference by Amazon's consumer worldwide CEO, Jeff Wilke.
'Stylesnap' will be very easy to use. Users will click on the camera in the top right corner of their Alexa app to take a photo of a look that they'd like to duplicate. Thru Amazon's AI technology, the app will generate a list of recommended items based on the photo submitted. While Stylesnap can filter numerous styles of clothing will the technology genuinely understand your style and niches?
The retail giant is taking Pinterest's Len's tool head on as the social media powerhouse has just recently launched its IPO and takes a hard push at eCommerce.
Amazon believes that by having a leg up on AI intelligence in comparison to competitor's, that this will breathe fresh air backing to the fashion sector for the retail giant after prior failed attempts.
StyleSnap has no official release date.
