Adidas has dug deep into its vault of classic sneakers to commemorate its legendary legacy and pulled out one of the most coveted silhouettes from the past.
The Adidas Originals Superstar has proven to be one of the three stripes sneaker brand's best-selling shoes. The German sneaker behemoth has teamed up with one of its longtime partners, BAPE, to put their own iconic spin on the silhouette that the Japanese label has helped to develop at various points in the past.
Both longtime partners recently collaborated on a silhouette in February, releasing two pairs of shell-toed shoes, and it appears that they are willing to drop a third as well. This partnership debuts this month's rendition of the iconic sneaker in the Japanese streetwear label's classic Green ABC camouflage pattern, which was revealed on the streetwear label's Instagram. According to the Instagram update, a new "Green Camo" version of the Originals Superstar sneaker will be released in the coming month as part of the brand's Spring/Summer 2021 line.
The smooth Originals Superstar leather upper is covered in the classic BAPE "ABC" camo pattern over in green. The three stripes and the company's iconic star logo branding are covering the sides in white offset the look. The sneaker also features white gold laces from the Japanese streetwear label and matching gold highlights on the tongue. Finally, the white toes and rubber outsole of the sneaker complete the look.
