With every new console generation, you can surely expect a new Battlefield game to come out as well. As is the case with the new Battlefield, most likely to be dubbed as 'Battlefield 6', it is now in development at Dice under the publisher wing of EA.
The new '6' title is all set to arrive sometime in "Holiday 2021" on the PS6, Xbox Series X, and PC for the fans.
We should tell you that most details about the game have been kept scarce as of yet, with the game still in development. With that said, EA has hinted at some details about the game.
Dice's new Battlefield release is said to be a "new true gen-vision for the franchise" and will also possess a "never before seen scale." Battlefield 6's new game engine system will have unique features to take advantage of the sheer scale and power of the new consoles and updated PC hardware. A modern-day setting accompanies the rumored news concerning the game's point cross-gen capabilities and potential 128 player maps.
Although no confirmed release date has been set for Battlefield 6, it is rumored to release sometime between October and December. EA has also said that we will see more details about the classic FPS shooter game in the next few months.
In an earnings call back in November 2020, EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated:
"The next Battlefield is set to launch in holiday 2021, and we are excited to share a lot more about the game in the spring."
No official trailer for Battlefield 6 has been released yet for the game, but a glimpse of a tech trailer of match test during the EA Play 2020. The teaser showcased some facial animations and a platoon of soldiers on a beach running into battle.
