ingredients

  • Medium saucepan
  • Cheesecloth
  • Large heatproof bowl or container
  • 4 sticks of salted butter
  • 1 quart of water

instructions

1. Bring water to a boil
2. Add butter -let melt
3. Add finely chopped decarboxylated buds
4. Bring to a low heat - below a simmer
5. Cook 3 hours until thick
6. Line heatproof bowl or container with cheesecloth
7. Strain mixture over the bowl or container
8. Let cool at room temp for an hour
9. Refrigerate until water has separated and butter has solidified
10. Remove from container to rid of the excess cooking water if any
11. Store and enjoy
