We are all extremely excited for the release of Cyberpunk 2077, and what’s more exciting than getting some story details and even the release date of this amazing looking game? Warning for those of you who care, as there will be a few story spoilers in this article. WARNING SPOILERS.
First off, Cyberpunk will be released on April 16th, 2020. It isn’t too far away, so make sure to preorder or save up the cash for what might be Game of The Year 2020. As for the story, you will be playing the up and coming cyberpunk named V, whom you get to customize to look the way you want. Basically, the story starts off as you are this mercenary renegade who has been implanted with a chip that holds the secret to immortality. The chip also affects the player by being haunted by a digital ghost of Johnny Silverhand who is played by Keanu Reeves. You are tasked with finding Johnny's old girlfriend Alt Cunningham to help you. She is supposed to be the first person to ever digitize her consciousness and transcend Cyberspace. Bridgette, the leader of a gang called the Voodoo Boys, knows where Alt is. But since it's not easy to just meet face to face with a gang leader, you will have to gain their trust by meeting with a number of characters like Placide, another member of the Voodoo Boys. You'll take on rival gangs in Pacifica the city that this game is set in. The city, Pacifica, is supposed to be an abandoned tourist attraction that has no police as the world has kind of gone to hell in a handbasket. Pacifica seems to be inspired by the artificial island of Odaiba near Tokyo. Without giving too many spoilers of the story; you can expect other rival gangs to reach out to ask for your assistance, betrayal, ways of entering cyberspace, and many ways to approach combat. Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming to Xbox One, PS4, And PC.
