After the success of Daniel Arsham's Crystal Relic Game Boy, the American Artist is partnering up with Nintendo'sThe Pokémon Company to create its first collaborative art design.
The collaboration comes after the release ofArsham'ssignature "Future Relics" theme of his "Relics of Kanta Through Time" collection that depicts items that we use on a day to day unearthed centuries from now as a type of fictional archeology.
The Pokémon Company has granted the designer access to the original character designs to create bronze and clay large scale sculptures for his "Relics of Kanta Through Time" collection. This is the first time in The Pokémon Company history that a visual artist has been granted access to the Pokémon archives according to Arsham's Instagram post.
On Thursday, Arshham unveiled a short clip on his Instagram of Pokémon character Pikachu finding a sculpture of its self in the woods.
In his Instagram post Arsham states:
"My intention with the project was to not only bring the universe of Pokémon and the characters into my work, but to have my work infiltrate the Pokémon universe, as well."
This epic collaboration between Daniel Arsham x Pokémon x Uniqlo UT is expected to drop globally on Unliqlo's online store starting April 24th.
