Elon Musk, the controversial CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has made headlines once again with the announcement that he will host (SNL) Saturday Night Live in two weeks. The self-proclaimed "Technoking" of Tesla Inc, will host the show on May 8, according to NBC, with Miley Cyrus performing as a musical guest on the late-night comedy show.
Elon's surprise hosting of SNL is not the first time the man has appeared on television; in reality, it is far from the first time. We've seen him make brief guest appearances in The Simpsons, Rick and Morty, South Park, and The Big Bang Theory by using his celebrity status on these series.
The thought of one of the world's wealthiest people taking the stage and hosting the entire SNL evening is something that has seldom been achieved before. The man has also surpassed Jeff Bezos to become the richest man in the world for a brief time before resuming his previous role, so SNL takes on one hell of a personality to host the show. However, the show has attracted wealthy businessmen such as Donald Trump, Steve Forbes, and others. Musk is undoubtedly one of the most interesting figures among the dull pack of businessmen, to be fair.
"Let's find out just how live Saturday Night Live really is," Elon Musk tweeted.
Musk's tweets have previously put him in hot water with investors and regulators, so this news could have sparked some questions among the executives. However, it seems that the man will disregard his past experience and proceed with the show regardless.
