Fortnite will Host Short Film Festival 'Short Nite' in Game February 20th

It's real, folks! Fortnite, the online video game phenomenon, will host a short film festival named "Short Nite."The developer of the free from violence Party Royale Epic has announced the Fortnite Film Festival 2021 will soon be home to a film festival.

The festival will feature around 12 featured films that come from all over the world. Among the films listed are a few shorts nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, such as 'A Single Life' and 'Bench.'

Subtitles will be available for these short films that contain dialogue in your preferred language that you can toggle in the audio settings.

The runtime of the "Short Nite" film festival from Fortnite is about 30 minutes in total. The series will repeat continuously for 24 hours once it finally goes live. There is no additional charge to see these movies because the virtual film festival is entirely free to Fortnite users.

So, all you need to do to join the spectacular movie event is jump into Fortnite's Party Royale mode. There will not be any structure building, rockets whooshing past, or any gun combat in here. It will be a simple viewing experience, as far as we know. Also, don't worry if you're entirely new to this Party Royale game mode; check out the game's guide to getting to the big screen.

The game will also provide you with the choice to watch the "Short Nite" Film Festival through Picture-in-Picture in the standard Battle Royale mode as well. This specific option will be available at the starting point of the Film Festival and about every two hours from then.

The "Short Nite"  Fortnite film festival dates will take place from February 20 to 21, starting the day before the event, and a new Jumbo Popcorn Emote will be available in the Item Shop.
