Hip-hop billionaire and rapper Jay Z, aka Shawn Carter, has moved from selling work on the corners in New York to selling legal cannabis in dispensaries across the country with cannabis company Caliva.
The mogul has announced the release of cannabis brand "Monogram" from his company Parent Co which aims to diversify the cannabis industry for future generations to come, where he will serve as the Chief Visionary Officer of MONOGRAM.
Jay- Z moved to launch Monogram with $575 million in funds and the help of businessman/partner Michael Auerbach with the backing of SPAC special purpose acquisition company) from Subversive Capital Acquisition Corp. The Jiggaman's reach didn't stop there; he also partnered with cannabis heavy hitters Left Coast Ventures, which also backs celebrity cannabis lines from Carlos Santana to the Marley Estate brand Marley Naturals.

The Monogram line features a series of high-end cannabis pre-rolls that are numbered instead of named to tell the story of significant times in the rapper's journey through life. 70' notes the first year of life for Jay with 88' marking the peak of his hustling days with being on the top of his game, 96' represents his first studio album Reasonable Doubt with Roc A Fella Records.

While the icon is known to say that cannabis wasn't his go-to as it causes him anxiety and or paranoia, he has said that toking has helped him cover come writers' block to drive his creative eye in completing hits like "IZZO."
Mr. Carter is not the first from the hip-hop community to stake his claim in the Green Rush, and he will certainly not be the last. With names like Berner, Wiz Khalifa, and Snoop Dogg also driving a new form of cannabis reform against the war on drugs within the community, Monogram opens the doors for like-minded friends and followers to join this evolution of change.
Jay-Z's MONOGRAM takes things a step further than just selling cannabis. MONOGRAM also features a series called "High Tales," that focuses on people's story behind cannabis use. High Tales kicks off its annual session with Bad Boy's Jadakiss.
