The list of celebrities and notable personalities investing in the Cannabis industry seems to be multiplying. The lastest to be added to the list is hip hop legend and versatile actor Ice Cube. Cube joins the green rush with other fellow rappers who have joined the race, including Lil Wayne, Jay Z, and Snoop Dogg.
Ice Cube took to Instagram and Twitter to announce his Cannabis line "Fryday Kush," a homage to his movie Friday, releasing in four US markets.
The post came with an aesthetic logo of monochromatic hues with a red smoked background. The logo resembles the cover of Ice Cube's 1992 album "The Predator."
Another post later gave details, which claimed that the line's potency reaches 46.2% THC and 10.78% of CBD. The "Fryday Kush" line is in partnership with Caviar Gold, which is currently the only cultivator to license the new Cannabis brand. "I partnered with Caviar Gold, so you know Fryday Kush is the best," tweeted Ice Cube. Caviar Gold gives all praise for Ice Cube as they announced on their website that Ice Cube himself personally developed the product.
Jay and Silent Bob star Kevin Smith quickly tweeted his congratulations to Ice Cube and welcomed his partnership with a lyric from one of his songs, Good Day. "I've got my own strains developed by green genius Cavi Mike, but I'm trying your new stuff this morning because it's FRIDAY!" Smith said in his tweet. Smith also has his line of cannabis products with Caviar Gold called "Lunar Modules."
A third post by the rapper said, "We got cones, high potency buds, and some of the strongest nugs on the market." The product is now available in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Oklahoma.
