The Jeep makers are keeping their commitment to electric vehicles going as the carmaker teases the Wrangler 4xe PHEV on Twitter this week. 

Jeeps Twitter post is not the first time that car lovers have seen this model, as Jeep gave a preview of the electrified Jeep during CES 2020 but kept quiet about the specifics surrounding the rugged vehicle. 

A plug-in hybrid is a considerable shift in gears for the all-terrain SUV maker, but the brand must stay competitive against the 2021 Ford Bronco, set to release in the new year. 

Jeeps' plug-in hybrid portfolio won't stop with the Wrangler 4xe but will mark the beginning of Jeep's push to offer an electrified option in every model by the brand by 2022. 

We assume the Wrangler 4xe will produce at least up to 31 miles of electric-only driving, allow drivers to encounter wildlife with little noise as suggested in the teaser.
