Joe Exotic Launches his Own Cannabis Line from Prison

The Tiger King himself, Joe Exotic, is launching his very own cannabis line straight from the prison cell he's being kept in over in Texas. Joe Exotic has been making moves after failing to achieve a pardon from President Trump during his administration. Since this, Joe has now announced that his attorney has signed a licensing deal with Tango Hotel Charlie (THC) Group, LLC and Cannaxxs LTD.

Joe's attorney Brad Small explained to TMZ that this deal was made to launch Joe Exotic Cannabis after Joe came up with the idea for it himself last year. Small further explained that the products for Joe Exotic's Cannabis line include Tiger King branded CBD edibles to be sold in dispensaries in Colorado, California, and Joe's home state of Oklahoma. According to additional reports by TMZ, Joe Exotic got in touch with his attorney and made business calls and emails himself to be directly involved in the business.

The zoo owner and former keeper of big wild cats rose to fame when the "Tiger King" reality show hit Netflix in March of 2020, back in the pandemic's peak. The chaotic series launched Joe into the limelight and made him a reality star icon because of his controversially criminal antics for better or for worse.

Joe, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is currently serving his 22-year sentence in federal prison after being found guilty on a total of 19 charges. Those charges include animal abuse, violating the Endangered Species Act when it came to light, killing five tigers, and conspiracies to kill with ties to a murder-for-hire plot against his longtime Big Cat rival Carole Baskin.

It seems as if Joe will stay locked up for some time and will have to do his business behind bars. Currently, it seems unclear when exactly Joe Exotic Cannabis will be launched.
