In 2018 Ye teased at an upcoming album called 'Yandhi' that fans anxiously awaited for only to be disappointed in the end. During the hiatus of the impending album, West experienced a series of leaks.
The leak of Ye's Yandhi project has leaked in the form of ringtones on iTunes, and now the entire album is on Spotify under "KANYE DROP YOUR ALBUMS." The feature-packed album oozes collabs with some of the industry's most exceptional talent, such as Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Post Malone, and Chance The Rapper.
Several reports surfaced that the rap mogul is in the process of obtaining a trademark for 'Yandhi.' Many believed that once he acquired the trademark, West would return to his musical glory days with the release of Yandhi.
Since last year's whispers of Yandhi, Kanye West announced that he would no longer produce secular music but instead only create gospel. As West takes a more spiritual take on his music, the artist is set to release his gossip debut "Jesus is King."
Kanye held a listening party for his upcoming gossip album in his native city of Chicago recently. Invited listeners were required to leave their cell phones in a lockbox before gaining access to the exclusive listening event to ensure unwanted leaks didn't continue.
The College Registration rapper's "Jesus is King" was set to be released on September 27th, but instead, West's wife, Kim Kardashian West, teased the "Jesus is King" song list on her Instagram account on September 27th, 2019. Since then, there has been radio silence as to when the album will be released. Stay tuned!
