Kid Cudi x BAPE has now announced a new capsule collection with their partnership. The influential rapper and streetwear brand have teamed up yet again, with their mutually shared history going way back. Before the man on the moon got his big break and was known for his trippy rap songs and relatable lyrics, he used to work as an employee at a BAPE store in New York.

The hip-hop artist joins the trendy streetwear brand to release a 20 item capsule collection. This Kid Cudi x BAPE collaboration collection is notably one of the most significant collaborations the brand has done with a music artist. The capsule collection consists of jackets, hoodies, sweaters, sweatpants, cardigans, caps, beanies, denim, and a custom special edition G-SHOCK watch.

The collection bears space and galactic theme to match the aesthetic of the artist's musical output. A retro wool and leather varsity jacket that showcases a chenille patch of Kid Cudi's face in the classic Baby Milo form on its back that features the words "MOON MAN" is included in the collection. The same phrase also makes an appearance on the sweatpants and denim. 

To further expand on the capsule collection's outer space theme, a graphic print that presents Kid Cudi as an astronaut is also imprinted on the t-shirts, camo hoodies, and caps. Another exciting surprise found in the collection is the BAPE branded custom G-SHOCK watch in pink color that arrives in a vibrant red strap.

Cudi spoke highly of the brand and has shown appreciation for his time working there with its founder, Nigo.

"He's an originator, and that inspires me, I always wanted to create my own sound, so anybody that I see doing their own thing and leading the charge in their lane, I have so much respect for them." Cudi said in an interview back in 2019.
