A Pennsylvania Superior Court has overturned rapper Meek Mill's 2008 drug and gun conviction. In addition to the overturned conviction, the judge granted the rapper a chance to retry his original charge.

The judgment comes as a significant win for the Philly native as his record is clear of any felony convictions.

Since the Meek's release stemming from a probation violation in 2018, he has stepped up to be an activist for those wrongly convicted of crimes.

Mill's has assisted in the creation of Reform Alliance developed with cultural leaders like Jay-Z and Beyonce Carter to create reform in the justice system and injustices of cultural bias.
