New Mortal Kombat Movie Has Promise

Mortal Kombat fans are going to appreciate the next film as it will be R Rated and include everyone’s favorite part of Mortal Kombat, Fatalities. Mortal Kombat came out back in 1992 and has maintained a successful track record for all of its game titles since. Even though it has done well as a franchise on your at-home consoles and arcades, it hasn’t done well in the past on the Silver Screen. The first Mortal Kombat movie was released at the box office in 1995 and critics did not like it. The fans were disappointed, especially because of the rating it got before release, PG-13. The games have always been filled with blood, gore, and graphic Fatalities. The movie was nearly bloodless. In 1997, another Mortal Kombat movie released and boy did it get worse. There was significantly less explicit content, and the movie lacked the charm of B movies to fall back on. We were hoping you could take this information with a grain of salt, but the R rating and the confirmed fatalities are very promising.
