Post Malone joins forces with the Pokémon Company to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the heavily popular monster-catching game. The megastar is all set to headline a virtual concert that will pay homage to the company's long-standing legacy.
The company released an eye-catching teaser video along with the news. The video included the rapper turn into an animated version of himself holding a Poke ball in hand right before his performance. This cartoon iteration of the artist is pumped to perform for the globally known company.
"I've been a Pokémon fan for a long time, So the opportunity to headline the Pokémon Day concert celebrating 25 years is awesome." Post Malone told in an official release about his love for the long-running franchise.
In a partnership with Universal Music Group, the Pokémon Company International had announced the P25 Music Program before the reveal of this virtual concert. This is a series of year-long musical events that will celebrate the beloved franchise's video games, fandom, mobile apps, and a lot more.
Pop star Katy Perry has also been announced to headline a section of the company's series last month. The company has plans to create new music by pairing artists with each other in this Music Program "through the lens of Pokémon"

The Post Malone event is entirely free, and fans can catch the event on Feb 27, Pokémon Day. Fans can expect new additional announcements to be made regarding upcoming musical acts before and after the virtual Post Malone concert.
