‘Silence of the Lambs’ Buffalo Bill house to become a bed and breakfast

The serial killer antagonist in the classic 1991 movie 'The Silence of the Lambs' Buffalo Bill's House in Pennsylvania will become bed and breakfast.

Fans of the famous horror classic can now even stay overnight at the sinister bill's house. The home was put on the market as of last year and, art director Chris Rowan decided to purchase it in late January. The prop stylist and horror fanatic intends to turn the creepy serial killer's home from the movie into a horror travel destination for many horror film fans.

Silence of the Lambs - Buffalo Bills House
"After months and months of hard work learning how to properly open and build a business from the ground up, I am proud to say that Buffalo's Bill's House is open for victims (I mean, the public!)."

If you think that the home from 'Silence of the Lambs' will be turned into a soft travel destination, don't worry. The art director doesn't plan on changing up the place too much. The exterior of the house will remain untouched, with the house being instantly recognizable to fans.

The film was released exactly 30 years ago on Valentine's day. It featured significant details of the Pennsylvanian Queen Anne Victorian-style house, such as multiple fireplaces, dark woods in the interior, old-fashioned wallpaper, and a wraparound porch.

In the horror classic, we see Buffalo Bill traps his victims in an underground well. Even though this scene wasn't filmed in the house, Rowan has plans to recreate the area in some capacity inside it.

"With my background as an art director and prop stylist, I plan to recreate the well, have it fabricated and installed. I'm not going to dig into the earth, but I want to install something along the lines of the film and give fans a pretty unique photo opportunity," Rowan said.

The home from the Academy Award-nominated movie is now open for business, with the house located only 30 miles outside of Pittsburgh. Guests and tourists will be provided guided tours and the opportunity to film around or inside the residence. If you're game, you can book your night on the Buffalo Bill's House official website.
