Sony has always made fantastic headphones and home theater systems, but they never really competed with Apple’s Air pods and Samsung’s Galaxy Buds, at least not until now. Sony has released a new competitor called the Sony WF-100XM3. If you are familiar with Sony’s other products, you’ll probably recognize the name. The earbuds are named after Sony’s 100XM3 noise-canceling headphones that have been rated incredibly high by critics and consumers alike. The Earbuds are cut from the same cloth too. These earbuds have noise cancellation technology, which is fantastic. The rubberized pieces of the earbuds are also designed to be extra grippy so you can rely on them to stay in more often than its opposition. You will also be able to use the ambient sound setting to hear important announcements or messages for those of you who use trains and what not to commute to work or school. The sound quality will always be subjective when it comes to flagship devices like this, but Sony’s Earbuds are incredibly balanced, so you get the best experience from your music, podcasts, or audiobooks. Call quality eclipses the Samsung Galaxy Buds. These bad boys give excellent call quality without giving you a robotic voice or people telling you it’s hard to hear you. The battery capacity is about 6-8 hours, and the case holds an additional three full charges. The case is also equipped with a USB-C port too. The only downside to these earbuds is that they are not water or sweat resistant, so for those of you who sweat a lot in the summer or people who are generally clumsy with their expensive electronics you should steer clear till the colder months, or you get better control over yourself. They are out now and cost $230.
