Supreme has always had a soft spot for digging up the more obscure silhouettes from Nike's archive. The streetwear brand's love for these lesser-known sneakers continues, as the Nike Air Max 96 was selected for their spring 2021 collection repackaged in three new colorways as part of the brands' collaborative release.
The collaborative Supreme x Air Max 96 has been the subject of leaks and rumors since 2020, with the titular skate brand's style incorporated on the sneaker, giving it a much more retro look. The New York-based streetwear label has undoubtedly left its mark on the Nike Air Max 96, with unique design choices. All of the information provided about the upcoming collaborative drop is geared toward sportiness, as it foregoes all of the new formalities flexing harder than ever before.

The new Spring 2021 collaboration isn't the first time the two have worked together to resurrect a long-forgotten silhouette from Nike's archives and turn it into a gold piece. However, we must say that they've done a massive stylistic number for the Air Max 96 to revamp the sneaker's look completely.
Supreme's work on the rerelease of the obscure sneaker from Nike's rich history of releases, the fashion house has done a fantastic job on the classic shoe. From the heavy branding of the skate brand's logo that dominates the sneaker's appearance to the slightly trimmed tongues and metal backplates attached to the sneakers. All of these details are visible to us, thanks in part to the translucent windows that provide us with clear visibility on the upper level.
