A Look Supreme X South2 West8 Spring 2021 Collection

Supreme is making moves this year, and after releasing the new Spring 2021 Tee collection last week and teasing a Supreme x Nike Air Max 96 on the horizon, the brand seems to want to return to their high-profile collaboration collections, which they are best known for. The luxury streetwear company is now partnering on a diverse line of clothing with SOUTH2 WEST8.

Kaname Nagaoka, a creative genius influenced by Tenkara, a traditional Japanese fly-fishing technique, founded SOUTH2 WEST8 in 2002 in Hokkaido, Japan. Fly-fishing, which loosely translates as "from the heavens" or "from Heaven," is common in Japan. Nagaoka was influenced by the fishing technique to develop a particularly distinctive style, which led him to realize his vision. The company's vision was to design garments with functional detailing and advanced textiles for comfort and individuality.

Now, the utilitarian style of the Hokkaido-based brand meets the artistic aesthetic of Supreme for a diverse joint collection that includes a long list of convertible pieces designed to help you in the sport of fishing. The River Trek Jacket and matching pants, and the Jungle hat are standout pieces from the comprehensive collaboration range that complement the convertibility theme well.

Other items that come to mind include the Bush Parka and vest, boots, mesh game bag, tulip hat, and balaclava, as well as the SOUTH2 WEST8 signature fleece jacket. The signature jacket paired with matching trousers that feature the brand's logo reversed in a barbed wire pattern. Finally, the kit includes a co-branded Tenkara Fishing Rod with the Supreme logo and traditional Japanese hair burrs.
