Director Matt Reeves surprised fans at DC FanDome with an exclusive look at the new trailer for The Batman produced by DC Films.
Reeves The Batman adaptation will feature a young Bruce Wayne in his 30's played by Twilight superstar Robert Patterson as struggles in his second year of investigating the corruption that plagues the people of Gotham City. This reboot takes a darker gloomy tone than its predecessor, Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.

This marks first look into the Caped Crusader's new look, redesigned Batmobile, and a slew of traditional Batman characters.

The trailer opens with a masked individual known as Edward Nashton, aka The Riddler (Paul Dano), taping the head of a body later revealed to be Gotham Mayor Don Mitchell with the text "No more lies" written in red ink across the face. Upon discovering the body, Gotham City Police Commissioner and Batman ally James Gordan, played by Jeffery Wright enlist the help of the masked vigilante after a greeting card was found containing a riddle at the crime scene addressed to "The Batman."
