Adidas has stepped up their sneaker game this new year thus far and has yet to show signs of slowing down. So far, they have unveiled new collaboration projects with Arizona Iced Tea, Blondey, Eric Emanuel, etc., and have also announced the ZX 5000 "Kevlar." The German three stripes heavy hitter has announced the latest installment to the ZX series ZX 10000 by linking up with the pop culture animated sitcom staple The Simpsons.

The sneaker takes major inspiration with the color way from the popular Krusty Burger restaurant located in The Simpsons hometown of Springfield, IL.

The mix of colorful hues visible on the sneaker is symbolic of the design inspiration of the town's famous food chain. The dark brown overlay with the gum bottom symbolizes the sesame seed burger buns. The teal accents that layover the green branded three stripes and the chenille heels pay homage to Krusty the Clown's quirky hair. Accompanying the popping hues are sections of pink, red, and a somewhat creamy vanilla tone to reimagine the clown's face and nose.

The midsoles of the shoe, however, have been left mostly colorless.  Adidas added a few more striking finishing details to complete the sneaker's representation of the cynical clown. The iconic "Trefoil" logo on the sneaker's heel has been recreated to finish matching the clown's face.

The Simpsons have no doubt its place in American pop culture. So, this homage to one of the most iconic shows in all of television history by Adidas is sure to go well with fans of the series. For now, no release date has been confirmed for the drop of ZX 10000. But if news from insiders is to be believed, the much-anticipated sneaker will release sometime in Spring 2021.
