Popular Canadian coffee chain, Tim Horton's is under fire for filtering cannabis websites from being viewed while using the chain's free Wifi. Coffee drinkers are denied access citing "inappropriate content" when patrons go to access cannabis sites such as Leafly.
When guests of Tim Horton's go to access, the wifi service's the Terms of Service state, "Be aware that some content, products, or services may be offensive to you or may not comply with applicable laws where you access the Services." Unfortunately, this allows Horton's ban the viewing of cannabis content in their facility.
Even after over a year of cannabis legalization in Canada, some brands are still not supportive of cannabis.
