Union LA started operating back in 1991 and has been giving back to the sneaker and streetwear communities for the last 30 years. Now, to celebrate its long-running history and the brand's 30th anniversary, they will be joining forces with several top brands for multiple collaborations and new projects to come throughout 2021. One of these top-rated brands that Union LA will collaborate with includes the prestigious Air Jordan label.
The momentous story of Union LA started way back in 1991. The story of Union LA begins with the brand's store owner Eddie Cruz opening as a co-branded location alongside Stussy under the moniker "The Stussy Union." The business then started to grow more and more, with the brand becoming the go-to destination for fashionable and trendy streetwear back in the 90s. Union then sought after famous Japanese brands that included NEIGHBORHOOD, BAPE, and more successful imprints to become one of the first locations to bring these brands together outside Japan.

In 2010, Chris Gibbs acquired ownership of the brand and has continued elevating the leading imprint legacy ever since. Gibbs has thrived by creating a variety of items amassing numerous collaborations under his reign. These collaborations also include the Air Jordan brand, and they are now looking forward to their third project between the brands. The first collaboration took place in 2018 when Union dropped the 'Black toe' and 'Storm Blue' colorway iterations of the Air Jordan 1. Then they followed that drop up in the next year with the release of "Off Noir" and "Guava Juice" iterations of the Air Jordan 4 model.
There is still relatively little known about the next Union LA x Air Jordan project or its drop. But we're sure when it releases, it's sure to be another hit for both brands.
