Will Smith and Kevin Hart gear up to remake 1987 classic Planes, Trains, and Automobiles for movie studio Paramount Pictures with a modern remake.
The original Planes, Trains, and Automobiles starred Steve Martin and the late John Candy directed by John Hughes. The movie portrays two businessmen trying to get home to Chicago for Thanksgiving as they face many travel disasters.

In the remake, Will Smith and Kevin Hart will portray characters forced to join forces to overcome travel obstacles to get home to their families.
Kevin Hart's HartBeat Productions and Smith's Westbrook Studios are currently working with Aeysha Carr to make her writing debut with the two Hollywood superstars. Carr's TV credits include her most recent work on the Hulu series "Woke," along with TV shows Brooklyn 99, Rel, and The Carmichael Show.
Smith and Hart will be working hand-in-hand with Westbrook Studios co-president and head of motion pictures Jon Mone and HartBeat's president of film and television Bryan Smiley.
