Recently 33-year-old Shakira Millar attempted to board her JetBlue flight from New York's JFK to Bridgetown, Barbados, while allegedly trying smuggle 10 pounds of cannabis in her suitcase.
According to the criminal complaint, Millar's black suitcase filled with 11 pounds of vacuum-sealed bags comprising of cannabis. According to the New York Post, a US Customs and Border Protection officer noticed the suspicious contents of the suitcase during x-ray screening. The Port Authority K9 team confirmed findings of bud in Millar's property and immediately taken into custody.
Shakira Millar was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and released with a pending future court date according to court records.
