Yo Gotti Releases “Recession Proof” as First Independent Single

Yo Gotti releases his first single as a newly independent artist after his recent departure from label Epic Records.

"Recession Free" produced by Tay Keith acts as a hustler's ode to overcoming hard times, as the rapper celebrates his independence from his label. On the track, Gotti raps about real hustlers needing to weather the storms and overcome challenges no matter what.

Following Gotti's exit from Epic Records, he has gone on to launch his independent label CMG. Outside of himself, CMG boosts artists like Blac Youngsta, Lil Migo, and 42 Dugg. On top of that impressive roster, CMG also manages Blocboy JB and Moneybagg Yo.

Earlier this year, Gotti dropped his final album under the Epic Records umbrella entitled Untrapped. The massive 15-track project featuring tracks like "Pose" with Megan The Stallion and Lil Uzi Vert, "Dopechella" featuring Rick Ross and "Like That" with A Boogie Wit Tha Hoodie and Ty Dolla $ign.

Yo Gotti's "Recession Proof," is now available to stream on Spotify and iTunes.
